Primary Care Medical Advisory Committee

The medical advisory committee is an IAPPC committee which helps oversee and monitor standards and the development of standards and protocols in the area of psychotherapy in primary care. Standards for the training of psychotherapists to work within primary care are also within its remit. The committee consists largely of medical practitioners.

The committee also advises on developments within general practice medicine and their likely impact on the work of psychotherapists in the field of primary care.
